HWC Foundation works alongside communities across Nigeria to close the gaps in maternal and women's health, with practical programs built by and for the people they serve.

Too many women lose their lives or their wellbeing to causes we already know how to prevent. HWC Foundation exists to change that, by putting evidence-based maternal and community health within reach of the women who need it most.
We believe lasting change is built with communities, not handed to them. Our work is grounded in local realities, shaped by women's lived experience, and measured by the difference it makes on the ground.
Reaching mothers with the care, information, and support that protect both lives through pregnancy and beyond.
Programs are designed with local women and health workers, so solutions fit the places they are meant to serve.
Every initiative is rooted in research and public health best practice, then adapted to real-world settings.
Built for mums. Seventeen questions, about four minutes, and a clear sense of whether what you are carrying is worth speaking to someone about.
From insurance advocacy to maternal mental health, our initiatives turn public health knowledge into action in the communities that need it.
We reached over 300 women to raise awareness of maternal health insurance, and we advocate for tiered, low-cost plans that cover women through pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum, with the goal of subsidized and eventually free care. HWC is an advocate, not an HMO. We are inviting HMOs and partners to help make these plans a reality.
Partner with usOur maternal mental health campaign, #OperationM³, brings together clinicians, advocates, and mothers to make sure mental wellbeing is treated as central to maternal care, not an afterthought.

Our approach is simple, deliberate, and shaped by the communities we serve.
We listen before we build. Every program begins with the lived realities of the women and families it is meant to serve.
The people closest to a problem are closest to its solution. We design with local health workers and women, not for them.
We move with partners and act on what works today, improving as we go rather than waiting for perfect conditions.
Organizations, clinicians, HMOs, and community groups working in women's health, let us build something together.
Your support helps us reach more mothers with care, information, and the dignity every woman deserves.
Pass the check-in, fact sheet, and symptom checker on to a mother who needs them.
This cycle has now ended and we are no longer accepting applications. When a new cycle opens we will announce it here and across our social channels, so follow us to hear first.
